Yumi Sugimoto is a rare Japanese
model and actress. She is also known as a gravure idol, which is a Japanese model that dresses in provocative, but non-nude clothing. In elementary school, She was picked in a Grand-Prix audition for "Ribbon," a manga magazine which is about 4 girls, their friendship, love lives, and various adventures. In the summer of 2007, she was assigned her first lead role ever in Boys Este, a Tokyo drama.
